Meet the Coach

Sharing of my story

Having gone through an intense learning experience at the end of a relationship, my first time at the psychiatrist they highlighted how self-protective I was. I spent a significant part of my life not being aware of how I came across to the world, what structures were running me, or even where I learned these thought habits. There was one thing I knew at the time, I wanted and was craving better emotional intelligence and change.

Moving to another country started the process of self-belief. A wonderful housemate introduced me to an interesting company called The Coaching Room (Thanks Benji). It didn't take long for me to get hooked on the coaching train. There's so much to learn and understand about how we've learned to cope with our worlds.

The next two years I spent learning to become an NLP practitioner, Master Practitioner, integral semantics facilitator, and leadership development coach. Its through these teaching I've learned to better understand myself and others.

Nature is my biggest teacher, my own, and that of the environment around me. Every experience has taught me that there's always more than one perspective. One of my observations is that the glass is always half full and half empty both at the same time, and I can use the perspective that works for me in the moment.

Our personalities are defined, inherited, and learned as we grow through them.

I believe we all can self-regulate, are healing, and are highly emotionally intelligent. It is up to us if we choose to access this potential.

Speciality

A conflict is only a conflict because the people involved are typically unable to successfully express their intent. In workplaces, team members come from diverse backgrounds and issues at their core arise from communication differences. My skill set enables me to step into a difficult situation and uncover what's generally at the heart of the conflict. Once known, I use a combination of empathy and confrontation to facilitate the group to lead itself to a space of resolution.

In a 1-on-1 setting the focus is more on using a number of tools that help people uncover their thought habits, patterns, and abilities. Some that are holding them together and others back from their own potential. While working with a client, confidentially is key. Most sessions don't need to go into the details of the context but rather the 'how' of the mind. My offer to clients is that: I will bring as much of my skills, knowledge, and support to these sessions as their own ability to participate wholeheartedly in self-change and development.
